Home Remedies For Fever


   Introduction
    Whenever, we feel our body temperature higher than normal then it is symptoms of fever. People body temperature depends upon various conditions like age, sex, physical condition etc. you need not require medical treatment only for fever. Body temperature is normal at around 98.6°F (37°C). A fever is not a disease. Generally, high temperature is a sign of your body is trying to fight infection or illness. Imbalance in the body causes most of the fevers.

     Causes
    Malaria, Typhoid, Tuberculosis, Rheumatic fever, Measles, Mumps, Respiratory infections like pneumonia and cold, cough, tonsillitis, bronchitis, Urinary tract infections, Chikungunya, some medication, sunburn etc.

     Common fever symptoms
     Body temperatures more than 37.5 o C, Headache, Body chills, body pains, loss of appetite and tiredness

    Simple tips to follow
    The patient should be given easily digestible food. plenty of clean and worm liquid is to be given, Clean and soft clothes are advisable to wear, Adequate rest is essential, The patient is to be kept in a well aerated room, A doctor is to be consulted when the temperature is above 39.5 °C or 103 °F or if the fever is continuous for more than 48 hours.

   Type of food to be taken during fever
     You should drink clean and boiled water. it’s advisable to take glucose, health drinks, fruit juices etc. Easily digestible food such as Rice gruel, sago gruel, barley water etc is preferable.

      Type of food not to be taken during fever
    Avoid Fried, Spicy food, bread, Non vegetarian food, curds and oily food.

      Home Remedies for fever.

     1.1 Basil
     Take 15 to 20 basil leaves and 1 teaspoon of crushed ginger, boil them. Now, boil until the solution gets reduced to half. Let it cool and add a little honey and drink this solution two times a day for two days to get relief. We can also drink basil leaves and black pepper tea two times in a day it also helps in controlling fever.

       1.2 Garlic
    Crush 1 garlic clove and add it to 1 cup of hot water. Wait for 10 minutes and then strain. Drink this twice a day for best results.

     1.3 Ginger
   You can have Ginger in a form of tea, by adding 1 teaspoon of grated ginger to 1 cup of boiling and drink this tea at least three or four times a day.

    1.4 Apple Cider Vinegar(ACV)
     Mix 2 teaspoons of apple cider vinegar and 1 tablespoon of honey in a glass of water and drink the concoction at least two to three times a day for best results.

    1.5 Black Paper
     Take 15 to 20 (Tulsi) Basil leaves and Black Paper. Boil one glass of water and add (Tulsi) Basil leaves and crushed black paper. Boil it for 2 to 4 minutes. Strain and consume it.
