Introduction
Cholera is an infectious disease that affects the intestines and
causes loose motions like water. If cholera is not treated in time, there is
dehydration in the person, due to which the person may also die. Cholera
spreads due to drinking contaminated water or eating contaminated food. Water
or food that contains vibrio cholera bacteria causes cholera.
Cholera (Haija) spreads more in a place where there is a lack of
cleanliness, sewer water supply, greens and vegetables are being grown in sewer
water or someone's house is located near a drain. Cholera can occur in anyone,
from children to the elderly. Pregnant women and children are also more likely
to develop this disease because their immunity is less. In cholera, many
essential salts, sodium and potassium, etc. are also removed from the body of
the person, due to which the blood of the person's body becomes acidic and the
person dies.
