Introduction
The continuous supply of oxygen and nutrients to the brain and
nerves in our body is done by blood from the blood vessels. Whenever there is
any damage or formation of obstruction in these blood vessels, the blood supply
to some parts of the brain is stopped. Just as heart failure occurs when there
is no supply of blood to the heart, similarly some parts of the brain do not
get more than 3 to 4 minutes of blood, and they are destroyed due to lack of
life and nutrients, it is also a brain attack.
Causes
1. Ischemic stroke
The most common cause of seizures. It is caused by narrowing of
a blood vessel or formation of obstruction in the brain. It is also of two
types
1.1 Thrombotic stroke
This type of brain attack causes blockage of blood in the blood
vessel of the brain or due to clotting. In patients who have a high level of
evidence of cholesterol inside the blood, fat is stored in the blood vessels of
such patients, which is called plaque. When the blood clot accumulates on it,
gradually the entire blood vessel gets blocked and thrombotic stroke occurs
when the part of the brain does not get blood.
1.2 Embolic stroke
In this type of brain attack, a small bubble of air accidentally
entered into the blood vessel by a blood clot or injection or saline causes a
small block of blood to build up in the blood vessel causing a blockage in the
blood vessel and that part of the brain gets blood. If it is not found, there
is an embolic stroke.
2. Hemorrhagic Stroke
This type of brain attack due to bleeding in any blood vessel of
the brain is very serious. Hypertension, a congenital malformation of the blood
vessel, or blood vessel inflammation may cause brain bleeding. There are two
types.
2.1 Intracranial hemorrhage
In this type, the brain cells are damaged due to the lack of
blood supply to that part of the brain due to bleeding in any blood vessel of
the brain. High blood pressure is the leading cause of this type of brain
attack. The blood vessel becomes weak and stiff due to high blood pressure
continuously for a long time and consequently ruptures.
2.2 Subarachnoid hemorrhage
In this type, blood is collected in all the arachnoids space due
to bleeding in a blood vessel in the level between the brain and cranium. The
main cause of this is congenital malformation of the blood vessel or
inflammation in the blood vessel. In this type, the patient experiences a
severe headache.
2.3 Transient ischemic attack
There is also a third type of temporary brain attack in which
the symptoms of a stroke last for a few minutes to a few hours and then get
cured. This is called a (TIA) transient ischemic attack. It warns that you have
a problem and that you may have a stroke soon if you do not get it treated.
Symptoms:
- Weakness
in Body trouble understanding directions and directions
- Having
a headache
- Confusion
- Trouble
Speaking
- Nausea
and vomiting
- Numbness
in the face, hands or legs on the same side of the body speak slowly or
vaguely
- Sudden
faltering, dizziness, deteriorating body balance
- Difficulty
seeing with one or both eyes
Precaution
- Stop
alcohol and smoking.
- Fruits,
vegetables etc. diet should be taken.
- Stay
away from stress. Do regular exercise and yoga.
- If
you are overweight then keep your weight under control.
- If
there is a problem of repeated headaches, get it checked by a doctor.
- If
you are suffering from Hypertension, Diabetes, Heart disease, then get a
regular medical checkup.
